That's how the good Lord works.
Remixing Gospel never sounded so good.

Cassius - Hi Water
If it's one thing the French do well, it's electronic music. This has a nice dreamy 70s feel to it.

Urban Symphony - Randajad
Another Eurovision entry. This one was in 6th place. Lovin' the chorus, even though I have no idea what they're saying. (note to self: learn more Estonian.)

I don't wanna live a lie.
Ahhhh, good ol' fashioned Euro dance. How did this get picked last in Eurovision? I don't understand it. I'd have totally voted for this.

All I hear are these dripping sounds.
Nothin' like 8 minutes of a Scorpions sample! For good measure, I've thrown in the original too.

Feel free to shout it out. Speak your mind. Spit it out.
This is my current jam. Yes yes, a guilty pleasure indeed. Simple yet effective. Two minutes and 36 seconds (give or take) won't kill you.

Also a lovely little remix courtesy of the Idjut Boys:

I'm a romantic adventure, and I'm a reptile too.
Motorhead. WWE Superstar Triple H's favorite band. Not much else to say. The title alone says it all. Don't get much more metal than that. Lemmy is definitely someone you want on your side in a bar fight.

Unit Black Flight - Masking
I just found out about these guys through Intergalactic FM. Very John Carpenter/Goblinesque.(Both of which apparently influence them) So naturally, I love it.
This particular track has a bit of a "Rene & Angela - I'll Be Good" feel to it. Like if that song were filtered through a horror soundtrack.

And in this world of people, there's only you and I.
Andy Gibb was one of many BeeGee siblings. He died of drugs and alcohol in the late 80's. And was also on Punky Brewster once. That's all I can remember from that VH1 Behind The Music special.
Regardless, this is some classic hot shit. Play this if you're new to a party and wanna make friends.

Hours awake, and our only mistake is we bleed.
Here's a charming and rockin' little ditty to start things off. You may or may not recognize the name CKY (short for Camp Kill Yourself, a very motivational message if I say so myself) from various "Jackass" episodes. Seeing as one of the Jackass guys are related somehow (I forget) to one of the members, it's only fitting to have them provide the soundtrack to getting hurt repeatedly with shopping carts.
But I digress. Anywho, this song paints a vivid picture of what it'd probably be like if you were stuck in an 80's horror movie.

Good Morning and Welcome
This blog thing is designed for random's sake. I will be posting random picks from my personal collection. One day it will be metal, or Italo, or even East European folk music. I have a vast array of mishmashed goodies I'd like to share with the world. So enjoy, and stay tuned!
